Needing Work

I'm in need of work. I've been sitting home the last two nights waiting for my phone to ring so I could sub somewhere. I even woke up at 5AM, and showered before the phone would start ringing, and I still had no calls. I can tell I have been spoiled over the last year with a lot of work at one time. Maybe this is a point when I could use a break, but my checking account sure can't use it.

Besides that, I'm just sitting around getting nothing great accomplished. I've spent a load of time on Facebook and listening to podcasts, but I haven't really done anything else that was that exciting. I should use the time to be reading a book, but I just can't get myself too caught up in this book I've been trying to read. It is called Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon, and I'm having a hell of a time getting a grasp on it. I'm not one for fantasy tales like this one.

Oh well, for those who care, 32 days until pitchers and catchers report, plus Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice are the newest Hall of Famers. Henderson in his first ballot, though as an unretired inductee, and Rice in his last writer's ballot. This could be the first induction speech in which the entire speech is in the third person. "Rickey Henderson is in the Hall of Fame today because Rickey Henderson is fast and knows the game of baseball." (Something to that effect....)
